Internationalization and Localization of Educational Software

Abstract:

This paper describes a pilot study conducted to observe and assess the usability of educational software for teaching mathematics and science. The study led us to identify essential differences between commercial and educational software, and to conclude that there are special considerations that should be taken into account when internationalizing and localizing this type of software.
