Abstract:

This paper reviews three papers presented at the International Workshop on Internationalization of Products and Systems (IWIPS) in July 2000: “Product Internationalization: Barriers and Strategies” by Pia Honold; “Gauging the Extent of Internationalization Activities” by Donald Day, and “Globalization: A threat to cultural diversity?” by Paul Bourges-Waldegg. The three papers and the review focus on policies, strategies and trends in globalization and design.
