This paper presents work-in-progress from a PhD research program investigating cross-cultural issues in human-computer interaction. A series of interviews were conducted with 24 Egyptian IT users about their experiences with the Internet. The results provide some initial data on the specific experiences of this user group and also provide the basis for further exploration of the effect of culture on usability.Original publication:
