Title:

eCulture: A Comparative Study of eFinance Web Site Usability for Chinese and British Users

Author:

Smith, A., French, T., Chang, Y. & M. McNeill

Abstract:

This paper reports an empirical study that adopts Taguchi methods to investigate differences in web site user satisfaction and preferences between users from mainland China and the United Kingdom. Results indicate that Chinese users may tend to adopt a more holistic ‘gestalt’ approach to viewing web content as compared to UK users. We go on to interpret these results, to relate our work to a wider body of knowledge, and suggest ways in which our work may be extended in the future.
