Many companies are faced with hurry-up internationalization (I18n) imperatives after a new sale, market plan or partnership develops in a new part of the world. When possible, internationalization should be designed in your application from Day 1; this presents the cheapest and least labor-intensive alternative to multilingual application development. However, in reality, most I18n projects occur as a result of laterally transferring an existing software application to offshore locations. This workshop focuses on implementing a tactical internationalization assessment and performing reengineering tasks as smoothly as possible. Our approach derives from experience gathered during real-world client internationalization projects.Original publication:
