This talk will present a few examples of our work in rural education, agriculture, and user interfaces for non-literate users. I will then use the projects as a point of departure to discuss the advantages and the challenges of geographical proximity to ones potential customers, as well as the particular characteristics of working with underserved communities for a for-profit corporation.Original publication:
