Metaphors in information systems may aggravate accessibility problems for multicultural user groups, when the metaphor carries a cultural bias. Authoring tools that are biased in this way may cause design problems. First results of the study at hand include observations from a multicultural classroom, which confirm a cultural bias of the authoring tool. A cultural bias of the metaphor used by the authoring could not be confirmed.Original publication:
