Kurdish language is spoken by almost 30 million people. Alongside with other problems, illiteracy and different types of disability are hindering information accessibility in the Kurdish community. This paper introduces a Kurdish Text-to-Speech software, which has been developed as the first attempt of using assistive technology in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region with the aim of reducing information accessibility deterrents in the Kurdish community.Original publication:
